Now I want a refund for using the tow truck company service. So I took matters on my own, I called the tow truck company and got my belongings out. ![]() I thought my stuff would definitely get stolen. But truthfully, no neighborhood is safe with belongings in the car. They also told me they cant do anything (they couldnt even call a tow truck company to come open the door). The roadside assistance through Zipcar told me they are not responsible for lost belongings but I did not lose themthey were locked out due to the cars malfunction. Keep in mind I did not start the car and have not drive the car out the lot. They transfer me over to roadside assistance and then they tell me I have to wait 3-5 business days for me to get my belongings that are locked in the door. I call Zipcar back and they tell me they can unlock the car through their system, they try but they said the cars Bluetooth is off so they cant unlock it. I leave the car lock it and then try to unlock it and it completely locks me out. Therefore, I thought maybe locking and unlocking the car would help with this issue. When the car unlocks, you can start the engine but this was not happen for me. After he switched to the ***V and ended the phone call, I unlock the car via Zipcar mobile app because theres no physical key, it unlocks and I go in. Mins you during this whole process Im looking at the other Zipcars and most had issues except with one car, the ***** ***V. I called Zipcar and the lovely agent was able to switch me over to a new car. It had an intense disgusting odor of cigarettes and weed. The first car that I had reserved was a disaster. 04/20/23 I had reserved a car through Zipcar for my staycation.
